The Story of Theodore Scene 1

Theodore’s mind was drifting.

Utter boredom had overcome him and rather than fall asleep, he was daydreaming about being rich while sucking on his pencil’s eraser.

The idea of sitting in a limousine, with a cigar in his mouth, and being transported from place to place in soft luxury appealed to him.

He pictured himself having people who would rush to attend to his every need without delay.

His fantasy was extremely detailed in the daily affairs of the life he would lead; he’d have a valet to dress him, a maid to clean up after him, a chauffeur to drive him around, and a cook to make his meals and stand at his side while he ate.
